Abstract
This is a qualitative meta-analysis that systematically analyzed domestic qualitative studies on the subject of the pain, mourning process, and results caused by the suicide of children. This study not only systematically analyzed the content of the pain of parents of child suicides but also the results of mourning. Twelve qualitative studies conducted in Korea on the experiences of parents who lost their children to suicide were analyzed. From the analysis, 173 technical topics, 44 comprehensive topics, and 12 core topics were derived.
The researchers systematically analyzed these topics according to the mourning process. The mourning of parents of child suicides was found to be a process of sublimating tragedy and suffering and growing into an ethical personality. Finally, based on the results of the study, we discussed the empathy of the pain experienced by parents of child suicides and the self-help group.
